KUWAIT CITY, May 15 (Xinhua) -- The Kuwaiti Health Ministry reported on Saturday 795 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number in the country to 290,801.
The ministry also announced six more fatalities, taking the death toll to 1,687, while the tally of recoveries rose by 1,047 to 276,792. A total of 12,322 COVID-19 patients are receiving treatment, including 194 in the intensive care units.
The Kuwaiti government has lifted the partial curfew, but all commercial activities are still suspended from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. local time, except for pharmacies, food marketing outlets, restaurants, and maintenance services.
Restaurants and cafes are allowed to receive orders but only for takeaways on their doorstep.
