TEHRAN -- Iran does not consider an interim deal in ongoing negotiations in the Austrian capital of Vienna aimed to restore the 2015 nuclear deal, a source close to the Iranian negotiating team told Tasnim News Agency on Saturday.

BEIRUT -- Visiting Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah said on Saturday that his country seeks to restore ties with Lebanon, MTV TV channel reported.

"For this to happen, we call on Lebanon to distance itself from internal affairs of other countries and avoid being a platform for attacking Arab and Gulf countries," Al-Sabah said following his meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati in Beirut.(Kuwait-Lebanon-Ties)

BAGHDAD -- Iraq on Saturday tightened security measures on the borderline with neighboring Syria after a jailbreak by militants of the Islamic State in a Kurdish-controlled prison in Syria's Hasakah Province.

"There are directives issued by the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi forces to double the security measures on the Iraqi-Syrian border," Yahia Rasoul, spokesman of the commander-in-chief of the Iraqi forces, told the official Iraqi News Agency.(Iraq-Syria-Border-Security)

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian Foreign Ministry on Saturday accused the U.S. forces and its allied Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces of committing acts that left civilians killed in Syria's northeastern province of Raqqa, according to the state news agency SANA.

In a statement following the chaos in Hasakah that resulted from the escape attempt of Islamic State militants from a Kurdish-controlled prison and the U.S. airstrikes that ensued, the Syrian ministry said the U.S. Air Force has committed "barbaric" acts, leaving innocent civilians, including women and children, killed.(Syria-U.S.-Airstrikes)
